Fernado Alonso more convinced than ever that he will win the drivers' title

Fernando Alonso has told Sky Sports F1 he is now more confident of winning the drivers' World Championship, despite ceding more ground to Sebastian Vettel in the Indian Grand Prix.

Vettel started from pole and ran out an easy winner in Delhi to extend his lead over Alonso from six points to 13, but the Spaniard used his Ferrari's superior straight-line speed to climb from fifth on the grid to second and limit the damage.
And, although Vettel has now won four races in a row, Alonso thinks the tide will turn in his favour over the remaining three races.
Asked if he was still confident of winning the title, Alonso said: "I think more so now. Because, when we started (the race), we had 10 points with fifth place (on the grid), and now we have 18 with second place.
"I think we gained eight points today, not lost seven to Sebastian. I think today we will remember this race.

"Well done to Red Bull and Sebastian but we want to be happy in Brazil, not only here, and I am sure we will do it."
Alonso overtook both Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button in the early stages of the race and believed he capitalised on discord in the McLaren camp.
"It was a good race for us - I got the maximum out of the car," he said. "The start was good and then it went as planned after turn three, overtaking the two McLarens.
"I think in that team there is not a very good atmosphere at the minute and, when they were fighting each other, they forgot that I was in the middle.
"But we managed to escape without any incident and I got past (Lewis) Hamilton in that manoeuvre, and then Jenson (Button) a couple of laps later.
"After that we were concentrating on the Red Bull. Mark (Webber) was very strong but, with his KERS problem, we managed to overtake him. It was damage limitation in this race but I am sure we will fight stronger in the next one."
