Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is confident that Raheem Sterling's new contract will be resolved sooner rather than later.
The 18 year-old has been impressive this season after breaking into
the first-team, and Rodgers is keen to tie up his services to keep him
at the club."He is a kid who has got special ability, so that no matter what is going on, he doesn't get too involved in it," he told the club's official website.
Sterling, who has featured 25 times for the Reds this season, more than any other player, is key to Rodgers' long-term plans, but he insists that the situation is under control and that Sterling's priority is helping the Reds move up the league.
"He is focused on his football. Hopefully it stays that way," he added.
