England coach Stuart Lancaster warns of Wallabies backlash at Twickenham

England coach Stuart Lancaster is expecting a ferocious backlash from Australia in Saturday's clash with their old rivals at Twickenham.

Australia, ranked second in the world rankings, were hammered 33-6 by France in Paris on Saturday, bringing them back down to earth with a bump after their 18-18 draw with New Zealand.
Key men such as skipper David Pocock and prop Ben Alexander missed that game but they will be fit for Twickenham and Lancaster admits England are expecting a much stiffer examination than Fiji - dispatched 54-12 - gave them.
 
"We recognise the challenge that is coming our way," Lancaster said. "There is bound to be a reaction from the weekend's performance against France. They are a side with character and resilience.
"I am sure if they have got a few players coming back as well they will be a different animal on Saturday. We need to make sure we are ready.
"It was only a couple of weeks ago they pushed the All Blacks and we are expecting that type of performance this weekend.
"In this situation there is bound to be a reaction. They are a nation full of resilience in adversity and we need to be ready for it."
"They are a very good side and we need to make sure we are 15-20% better than we were at the weekend, raise our intensity, physicality and the accuracy of our play."
