Wales forwards Alun Wyn Jones and Josh Turnbull have been ruled out of the remaining autumn Tests because of injuries.
Ospreys and Lions star Jones (shoulder) and Scarlets flanker Turnbull (knee ligaments) will miss matches against Samoa, world champions New Zealand and Australia.Jones was forced off the pitch in the first half of last Saturday's 26-12 defeat against Argentina and no timescale has been put on his return.
Turnbull damaged medial ligaments against the Pumas and faces a month on the sidelines.
Wales had already lost prop Adam Jones and flanker Dan Lydiate for all of their autumn fixtures due to injuries suffered earlier this season, but centre Ashley Beck and flanker Ryan Jones are on course to return against Samoa.
Centre Jamie Roberts is continuing to be assessed for mild concussion and has a chance of facing Samoa.
Fellow midfielder Jonathan Davies is still battling to shake off a groin problem and is unable to train fully with the squad.
At this stage Wales have made no call-ups to their existing squad.
