England were held up by opening batsman Rahul Dewan on day three of their final warm-up match against Haryana.
Dewan carried his bat for 143 as the hosts were finally dismissed for 334 on day three of four at the Sarwar Patel
Stadium B Ground.Nick Compton (54 not out) and Jonathan Trott (61 not out) then made the most of the benign conditions to compile half-centuries as England reached 118-0 at stumps.

(3-66) again got more than most out of the timid surface, but even he
could not shift the accomplished Dewan as Haryana replied with substance
to England's 521 all out.Alastair Cook got England off to the perfect start with a good catch moving low to his right to remove Sandeep Singh for seven - with Bresnan claiming his third wicket of the match.
Stuart Meaker (3-72) then accounted for Amit Mishra (17), with the returning Matt Prior taking the catch behind the stumps.
Prior missed the evening session on Friday after falling ill with a stomach bug - with Jonny Bairstow, originally rested for the match, brought in to wear the gloves.
Jayant Yadav chipped in with a breezy 17 off 19 balls before he was bowled by Meaker while Samit Patel struck early in the afternoon, trapping Amit Vashisht lbw for 16 to leave the hosts on 273-8.
But England were stalled by a 60-run partnership between Dewan, who passed 100 in 236 balls, and Chanderpal Saini (35) before Meaker trapped the latter lbw.
The tourists quickly wrapped up proceedings with Kevin Pietersen bagging last man Sanjay Budhwar and after almost 114 overs in the field Cook did not enforce the follow-on.
However, the captain rested himself after making 97 in the first innings and saw Test-opener-in-waiting Compton and Trott make serene progress through the final 38 overs of the day.
